ING is looking for a Senior Java Engineer for a Machine-Learning R&D team within the Global Engineering and Operations Tribe
We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer who is passionate about programming languages, Cybersecurity and Natural Language Processing.

Your role
You will be working in a squad composed by a Cybersecurity Product Owner, Java engineers, Ops engineers and Data Scientists. The team's mission is to reduce false positive alerts in Application Security Testing using advanced data engineering and machine-learning. Your role will be to develop an advanced language graph and improve source code preprocessing for the AI model.
You own the stack and the journey!

Your daily work will consist of:
• Design and plan algorithms and architectures
• Java and Kotlin coding
• Reviewing and discussing machine-learning strategies with data scientists
• Testing (Automated)
• Building and deploying
• Monitoring

First and foremost, you need to be a strong coder and you need to have an interest in application security, programming languages and machine-learning. You have to be a true team player. You speak up, are transparent and not shy to stand up for your own opinions. You have an instinctive need to share knowledge and continuously improve yourself and the team.

Required skills
