For ING Wholesale Banking (WB) Tribe Lending we are looking for a temporarily (12 months) Senior DevOps Engineer for our Lending Payments squad located in Amsterdam. This squad is part of the Client Services and Reporting area in Tribe Lending. The goal of this area is to enabling a stable core platform with straight through processing of client services request and real time reporting.

The purpose of the Payments squad is to implement one settlements solution across the globe for WB Lending.

Your role and work environment
You work within the Wholesale Banking Global Tribe Lending. The purpose of our Tribe: “Create a fast, seamless, personalized & data driven digital Lending Xperience”! For borrowers, ING employees, investors and regulators. The Tribe is responsible for easy, reliable and controlled processes for getting lending products (e.g. loans) and managing those products. Also the distribution of the products to lenders and investors (amongst others syndications) is part of the scope. Our clients are spread across 40 countries; we are converging to one way of serving our clients, delivering an uniform client experience across countries.

o Ensure code quality and maintainability by tackling technological debt, conducting code reviews, and refactoring
o Help your team grow and think of ways to make solutions scalable and future proof
o You are able to perform (automated) testing, facilitate and support user acceptance testing for new releases
o You define business requirements for the development of products and services
o Ensure our license to operate by secure and flawless 24/7 operations while ensuring regulatory compliance

Your education, experience and background:
o Bachelor / Master degree
o You have a pro-active and hands-on attitude; you speak up about your ideas
o 8+ years hands on professional experience
o Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
o Excellent knowledge of Java 8, Git, Maven
o Experience with Tomcat Server
o Experience in creating web applications, SOAP/RESTful APIS
o Good skills in writing unit and integration tests using Junit
o Good knowledge of relational databases, e.g. Oracle
o Experience with projects within the Spring Framework, like Spring Boot and Spring MVC
o Knowledge of Micro-Services architecture, dispersion services, scalability, container technologies: Docker, OpenShift
o Knowledge of Hibernate Framework
o Excellent level of English.

Additional preferred skills:
o Prior experience of working in an agile/DevOps environment
o Knowledge of Continuous Delivery tools, such as Azure DevOps
o Experience in work with message brokers: WebSphere MQ, Kafka
o Scripting skills using languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python
o Knowledge of Java 11 and beyond is a plus
