As an Infrastructure platform engineer you will work in a multidisciplinary Agile team. These teams develop, test and maintain the infrastructure platform for naval systems. The scrum teams are responsible for the entire chain – requirements analysis, development, testing, validation and demonstrating the current status of the product. Activities range from configuring, developing automation for configurations, research, automating tests, maintenance and solving problems.

About you
Do you have a passion for Infrastructure and software technology, do you enjoy using and developing them both on a daily basis and are you interested in working on systems that are the very basis of Naval Command & Control systems? Then you are the person we are looking for.

You are a talented engineer who enjoys specifying, developing and testing IT infrastructure components. The infrastructure is the platform on which the sensor and information management systems are built aboard navy ships. Relevant experiences are:
• Linux, Red Hat certification is a pre
• network technologies and security,
• software development processes,
• a number of the following tools and technologies:
o Infrastructure as code tools like Ansible and/or Terraform, Puppet
o Git based source control systems,
o CI/CD tooling, like Jenkins
o Container technology (pre),
• languages like Python (required), shell scripting, Java (pre)
• Agile methodologies, including appropriate tooling (e.g. Jira).

To fulfill this role, it’s important that you can communicate fluently in English to all types (technical, management) of stakeholders.
You hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science, IT service management or comparable. Your colleagues are recognized experts in the field and will help you get up to speed. Thales will gladly invest in your development.
